Well, I imagine that your company would be happy to export anywhere they could make a profit, right? Well, Colombia´s having a boom economy right now, the best in 30 years some say . . . and I bet there is money to be made with the right product.
Quite a few people I know personally have set up import businesses and are primarily bringing clothing and other products from China. I expect the economy to hold up for another year at least so long as there is no major change in the Bank of the Republics money policies. Their discount rate is about 9.5% right now and may continue to rise as there are some slight inflation worries. However, as the USD continues to fall in general terms worldwide it also makes imports into Colombia more accesible to the public.
I would think it interesting to consider looking for a partner to purchase your exports now as it is doubtful if the strength in the economy will hold up for more than a couple of years, unless that is the US dollar stays exceptionally weak after such a period of time.
